The conference model allows the league to regionalize the first round where four teams from one conference will compete for the conference title and the right to compete in the National Semifinal round. Each conference pod will include division winners, and, in some cases, a wild card bid, which will be determined based on point accumulation in regular season games. If an uneven number of games are played amongst the divisions and/or the conference, points per game will be the default qualifier. Each conference, based on the number of teams, will have different bid allocations to create the most equitable opportunity for qualification possible.
