Soccer Resilience to Become the W League’s Official Sports Mindset Advisor

TAMPA, Fla.- The USL W League announced today a new partnership with sports mindset agency Soccer Resilience. As the official sports mindset advisor of the W League, Soccer Resilience will provide all W League players, coaches and team staff with tools to enhance their mental training both on and off the field.

"The W League is committed to providing resources to help our players develop on and off the field, and mental health training is a critical piece of this," said Betsy Haugh, Director of Operations for the W League. "Soccer Resilience is doing great and important work in this space, and we look forward to partnering with them to elevate the well-being of our players, coaches, and club personnel."

Soccer Resilience offers a sports psychology base and soccer-savvy content to inspire players and to advise coaches, clubs and organizations on how to increase self-awareness, drive confidence, conquer setbacks and enhance performance. Soccer Resilience’s impressive management team includes Women's World Cup Champion Jessica McDonald, MLS Cup Champion Wells Thompson, 20 year psychologist Dr. Brad Miller and 18 year NCAA Division I Head Coach Matt Spear.

"It's an honor to assist the W League's intentions for holistic wellbeing of the players, coaches, staff and even fans,” said Matt Spear, Soccer Resilience founder. “Kudos to the W League's vision to include mental fitness and mindset training for wellness and performance. My passion for the women's game launched after attending the 1999 Women's World Cup Final in a packed Rose Bowl and I am thrilled to be part of another step forward for women in sports."

Through a partnership with the W League, Soccer Resilience will offer dedicated training sessions for all USL W League clubs, as well as provide educational materials and resources for W League players, coaches, and club personnel. Additionally, the W League will share mental health tips and resources provided by Soccer Resilience via its social media and digital platforms in order to promote mental health awareness within the wider women's soccer community.

Last month Soccer Resilience introduced a brand new resource called Soccer Resilience FC, a comprehensive online tool to help improve performance and build positive mental training habits. This new mental training platform provides exclusive online programming and support for players of all ages and levels, as well as for coaches and parents.

"I am so excited about our partnership with the new W League,” said Jessica McDonald, Soccer Resilience founder. “They are providing many resources for the players' health and teams' missions, and I’m happy Soccer Resilience will be one of them. This league will be a true game changer for those who want to continue to play, coach and work in the sport that they love with a lot of support."
