USL W League Welcomes Eagle F.C. as Newest Club

Pennsylvania-based club will compete in USL W League’s inaugural season

TAMPA, Fla. & MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The United Soccer League (USL) today announced Eagle F.C. as the latest club to join the USL W League. The Pennsylvania-based club will compete in the league’s 2022 inaugural season.

Eagle F.C., formerly H.M.M.S., has been operating successfully in Central Pennsylvania since 1976. The club is currently home to over 1,200 players and maintains many travel teams that have won numerous state titles as well as holding titles regionally and nationally. Recent successes include a USYS Regional Championship for their ’02 girls in 2019 and a USYS Regional Final appearance for their ‘04 Girls in 2021.

The Mission of Eagle F.C. is to passionately develop players, educate them in sport and life and provide leadership while instilling the love of the game. The club takes pride in developing quality players that have been recognized throughout the country, as current alumni are now playing throughout at NCAA Division I, II, III programs. Over the last four years, the club has had over 45 players commit to play at the collegiate levels.

“Eagle F.C. has maintained a long history of producing quality soccer players from the U6-U19 age group and the opportunity to join this reputable women’s league continues to show how growth in women’s soccer is progressing,” the club said in a statement. “Eagle F.C. is excited to be the club that represents the USL W in the Central Pennsylvania area.”

Eagle F.C. has playing opportunities for all abilities and experiences ranging from their elite travel teams competing at the State, Regional and National levels, their robust TOPSoccer program for players with special needs, to their large recreational and futures youth teams. Eagle F.C. values their local community and is committed to providing an inclusive and player centric soccer experience.

With the introduction of a USL W League team to the club, Eagle F.C. now adds another step to their pathway of player development. The club is rich in diversity and community involvement through the respectful soccer environment they have created. Eagle F.C. is committed to player and team development as well as maintaining their community interaction.

USL W League team. “Our players, coaches, and fans are eagerly anticipating this new opportunity to compete against some of the best teams and players on a national platform. The team will look to build a pathway for our youth players and provide an opportunity for alumnae and quality players within the Central Pennsylvania area to compete at the highest levels. We look forward to the upcoming 2022 USL W League season.”
