2-0 Indy Eleven lead the way through first two weeks of the W League Season

The USL W League has completed its first two weeks of matches of its inaugural season. So far 14 teams have taken the pitch this season. With that being said, here are the extremely early Top 10 Power Rankings which only take into account teams that have taken the pitch at least once this season.

Indy Eleven came out of the gates strong with an inaugural match 3-1 victory over Kings Hammer FC and then scored a season-high six goals in the team's win over Flint City AFC in the second week of the season. Katie Soderstrom leads the 2-0 Indy Eleven squad with three goals, scoring at least once in both matches thus far and adding an assist.

In its first match of the season, NC Courage U23 beat Wake FC 4-0 with a balanced scoring attack. Boston College forward Emily Sapienza found the back of the net in both the first and second half. The Courage travel to face the also unbeaten Greenville Liberty SC on Friday.

Greenville Liberty SC secured a victory in its first match of the season after netting three second half goals. The Liberty flaunted four different goal scorers, with Carly Thatcher recording both a goal and assist in the affair.

McClean Soccer

The final match of the second week of play was the epic come-from-behind matchup between McLean Soccer and Northern Virginia FC. McLean found itself down 3-2 at halftime, but goals in both the 86’ and 89’ minute sealed the comeback for McLean Soccer in the club’s first match of the season.

Racing Louisville FC
1-0-1 vs. Indy Eleven

Racing Louisville played Detroit City home and away to start the season. The two teams split the points in their first meeting, but after a brace from Emily Madril, Louisville managed to secure the 2-1 victory at home on Sunday.
