The USL W League has 17 matches slated for the weekend with some teams making their debut, some looking to rebound and some looking to continue their hot streak. All five of these matches will be available to stream on ElevenSports.com.
Here are five matches you should be watching this weekend:
Friday, May 20, at 7PM
Kick off the weekend by watching two unbeaten teams go head-to-head. The NC Courage and Greenville Liberty each bagged four goals in their opening W League matches last week, so it is safe to expect some offensive fireworks when the two teams meet Friday night under the lights.
Friday, May 20 at 7:30 PM CDT
Southern Soccer Academy played to a 1-1 draw in the teams opening W League match last weekend and Tennessee SC suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of South Georgia Tormenta. Both teams are looking to rebound and snag all three points in this prime-time matchup.
Saturday, May 21 at 3PM
Florida looks to get in on the W League fun with the first match in the Southeast Division. Florida Elite Soccer Academy hosts Tampa Bay United at Creekside High School in a Saturday afternoon match up. TBU’s head coach Tricia Taliaferro recently coached Team USA to a gold medal at the Para Women’s World Cup is Spain.
Saturday, May 21 at 5PM
Staying in the spirit of Florida matches, Miami Athletic Club and FC Miami City will square off in the season’s first Miami derby at Tropical Park. Both Miami teams look to start the season off right with a victory over their hometown rival.
Sunday, May 22 at 5:30PM
This Mid Atlantic clash will feature two teams searching for their first win of the season. In Northern Virgnia’s opening match, the team netted three goals which ended up not being enough to secure the victory. In Patuxent’s first match, the team failed to find the back of the net but look to change that in this Sunday matchup. So both of these clubs will be thirsty for the win in their respective club’s history.
