Huntsville-based club excited to offer new opportunities to local talent

HUNTSVILLE, AL – The United Soccer League today announced North Alabama Soccer Coalition as the newest team to join both the USL W League and USL League Two.

“We are thrilled to extend our soccer vision for North Alabama by joining the USL family,” said Henry Mpagi, Director of Coaching at North Alabama SC. “Our entire soccer community benefits from the USL coming to Huntsville. The USL provides a soccer partnership and pre-professional pathway that elevates development and advancement opportunities for our players and staff.”

Founded in 2008, North Alabama SC currently has over 850 players across its programming. The club’s keys values are integrity, teamwork and sportsmanship.

North Alabama SC participates in multiple community activations, including hosting free community soccer camps and clinics throughout the year, as well as providing scholarships for local youth to ensure all players have the opportunity to participate in soccer.

Establishing a presence in both the W League and League Two gives players in North Alabama the opportunity to showcase and develop their skills on the way to collegiate and professional careers. North Alabama SC is providing a platform for top talent from the area to perform.

The club’s mission is to create an environment that allows every player to achieve soccer success on their own timeline, learn to play and compete with integrity and confidence, and master the life lessons of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play, all while developing a lifelong love for the beautiful game of soccer.

“We are so excited to welcome North Alabama SC to the USL,” said Joel Nash, VP of Youth and Pre-Professional Properties. “Growing up in Alabama, and spending time in Huntsville, I know about the excitement for soccer in the area firsthand. I’m certain that League Two and W League will be the perfect platform for Huntsville and all of North Alabama to showcase its passion for the game.”
