Power Rankings June 6: SF Glens, NC Courage and MN Aurora round out top 3

We are officially one whole month into the 2023 W League season, which means teams have played nearly half of their regular season matches. 

SF Glens retains the top spot for the third straight week and NC Courage stands strong at the number two spot for the second week in a row. 

Minnesota Aurora jumped up to round out the top three after strong showings against RKC Third Coast and Rochester FC. 

Rounding out the top five is Tampa Bay United, who has downed every divisional opponent and Oakland Soul who defeated the Stockton Cargo and Cal Storm last week.

San Francisco Glens SC

The Glens had an incredible come-from-behind win against last week's Power Rankings #5 Cal Storm. SF Glens is currently undefeated at a perfect 6-0-0 and has the league’s largest goal differential at 24. The club will look to continue their perfect performance in their next match against Pleasanton RAGE.
NC Courage U23

Last Week: 2

The Courage added two more victories in the last week of play including a 3-0 win over Asheville City and a dominant 5-1 win over the Greenville Liberty. The Courage currently sit atop the South Atlantic Division with a perfect 5-0-0 record.
Minnesota Aurora FC
Last Week: 6
v. Chicago Dutch Lions FC
June 7 / 7:00 p.m. ET
Minnesota added two more victories to their unbeaten streak to start the season with a 10-0 statement against RKC Third Coast and a hard-fought battle against Rochester FC, where a lone goal by Tianna Harris was the deciding factor. Minnesota has yet to allow a goal against.
Tampa Bay United

Tampa Bay United had a strong match against rivals FC Miami City this week, where the team scored four unanswered goals, handing Miami its first loss of the season. TBU has now defeated every divisional opponent at least once.
Oakland Soul SC
Last Week: 8
@ California Storm
June 8 / 7:00 p.m. ET
Soul found themselves in a back-and-forth match up against tough opponent Cal Storm, where Soul was able to outlast the Storm 3-2. Soul also notched a 5-2 victory over the Stockton Cargo. Kaytlin Brinkman leads Soul with four goals.
Racing Louisville FC
Last Week: 13
v. Indy Eleven
June 6 / 6:00 p.m. ET
Racing Louisville had two impressive matches this week including a 7-0 shutout victory against Kings Hammer and a 1-1 draw against the unbeaten Indy Eleven. Jordyn Rhodes leads Louisville in scoring with four goals so far this season.
Long Island Rough Riders
Last Week: 9
v. Cedar Stars
June 7 / 8:00 p.m. ET
The Rough Riders played a fierce opponent in Morris Elite this weekend, edging them out 2-1 for the win. Forward Lia Howard has already notched eight goals in five matches for Long Island. The team looks to stay perfect this week against unbeaten rival Cedar Stars.
Eagle FC

Eagle FC secured an incredible victory over McLean Soccer, handing the club its first loss of the season. Eagle’s dynamic scoring duo of Margaret Tate (7 goals) and Nia Christopher (4 goals) are leading the undefeated Eagle into first place in the Mid-Atlantic division.
Oly Town FC

Oly Town finds themselves atop the Northwest Division standings after downing United PDX 3-1 and shutting out Captial FC Athletica 3-0. Former pro Mariah Lee leads the team in goals with three on the season.
Indy Eleven

@ Racing Louisville FC
June 6 / 6:00 p.m. ET
Indy Eleven remains undefeated, however the team had two close matches this past week. Maria Vanegas scored Indy’s lone goal against old foe Kings Hammer, then Indy took on divisional rival Racing Louisville, where the teams battled hard for 90 minutes to a 1-1 draw.
