With less than three weeks left in the W League season and the 2023 playoffs on the horizon, here are four matches to watch that could have serious playoff implications.

Second place FC Miami City (7-1-1, 22 points) play host to first place Tampa Bay United (8-0-0, 24 points) this Saturday at 6:30pm ET in what could be the deciding match to take the top spot in the Southeast Division. In the clubs first meeting this season, TBU shutout Miami 4-0 behind a brace from Carissa Boeckmann and goals from Claire Rain and Brianna Blethen. This time around, Miami City looks to take home the three points which would propel the team to first place in the division, one point ahead of TBU.

Currently tied in points at 13 a piece, United PDX (4-1-1) and Oly Town FC (4-0-1) will battle this Sunday for three important points. The teams have met twice already this season, resulting in a 2-2 draw and a 3-1 win for Oly Town FC meaning the results of this third matchup could become the determining factor in the race for the division if it comes down to these two clubs.

Second place Morris Elite SC (5-1-1, 16 points) will host first place Long Island Rough Riders (6-0-0, 18 points) this weekend for the second meeting between the clubs in as many weeks. The first meeting was a hotly contested matchup that opened with a 20th minute own goal by Morris Elite. Long Island went on to double the lead before the half and the match ended in a 2-1 Rough Riders victory. Morris Elite will be looking to even the series this weekend which will have serious playoff implications.

Flint City AFC (6-0-3, 21 points) looks to close in on the divisional top spot this week when the unbeaten leaders take on Detroit City (3-3-3, 12 points). The two teams have already met twice this season and both matches ended in a stalemate. In the first matchup, neither team found the back of the net, ending in a 0-0 draw and the most recent meeting ended in a 2-2 draw. Will Flint City prevail and be one step closer claiming the division title or will Detroit play spoiler and hand Flint their first loss of the season?
