Power Rankings June 20: No movement at the top, Oly Town jumps 7 spots

Indy suffers first-ever regular loss, Eagle continues to impress

We are less than two weeks away from the conclusion of the USL W League regular season and the playoff race is heating up!

This week we saw our first two clubs, Flint City AFC and Tampa Bay United, clinch playoff berths after excellent, unbeaten seasons in the USL W League. 

This week in the rankings SF Glens continue to reign at the top of the power rankings and have not budged all season. Minnesota and Tampa Bay stay in the second and third place respectively for the second week in a row after strong performances this past week.

San Francisco Glens SC

Last Week: 1
v. California Storm
June 25 / 3:30 p.m. PT, 6:30 ET
The Glens continue to impress with their ninth win of the season that came in the means of a 4-0 win over The Olympic Club. The shutout was the club’s third in a row, showcasing a strong defense led by USYNT standout Elise Evans and Team of the Month defender Elle Piper.
Minnesota Aurora FC

Minnesota looked to be in early trouble after Bavarian opened the scoring in the third minute stunning Aurora and their incredible crowd of over 6,400 fans. The 2022 finalists rebounded quickly, scoring five unanswered goals and controlling the remainder of the match.
Tampa Bay United

v. Palm City Americanas

Tampa Bay United clinched the Southeast Division title with the team’s 2-0 win over Florida Elite Soccer Academy. Goalkeeper Bailey Herfurth has been lights out between the sticks for TBU, with the team’s most recent result becoming TBU’s eighth consecutive shutout win this season.
Eagle FC

Eagle FC notched another impressive win over the weekend with a 6-0 result over Patuxent. Team of the Month midfield Meg Tate continues to make a statement with 10 goals so far this season.
Flint City AFC

v. Cleveland Force SC
June 23 / 7:00 p.m. ET
Flint City AFC became the first team to clinch a playoff berth in the 2023 USL W League playoffs this weekend when they secured an impressive 5-0 victory over Detroit City FC. Both Olivia Thomas and Team of the Month midfielder Isabella Gaetino found the back of the net within the first ten minutes, scoring within just two minutes of each other.
NC Courage
Last Week: 8
v. Greenville Liberty SC
June 20 / 6:00 p.m. ET
NC Courage continues to lead the South Atlantic Division, adding to their win column this past week with victories over FC Carolinas and Charlotte Independence. Team of the Month midfielder Mia Oliaro and forward Isabella Brown lead the team in goals at four, with Brown having most recently scored against FC Carolinas.
Oly Town FC

Oly Town FC faced a tough challenge against United PDX, where they battled to a 1-1 draw to preserve their unbeaten record. Oly Town currently has nine different goal scorers, with Mariah Lee leading the squad with 3 goals on the season.
Morris Elite SC

Morris Elite earned a massive victory over divisional leaders Long Island Rough Riders, avenging the loss they suffered against them the first time around. Melina Rebimbas bagged her tenth goal of the season, stunning the then-undefeated Rough Riders in just the first minute of play.
Indy Eleven

Indy Eleven were dealt their first loss of the season, and first-ever USL W League regular season loss, against St. Charles FC. The Girls in Blue rebounded with a convincing win over Kings Hammer FC, coming off a brace from 2022 Team of the Year Second Team selection Maddy Williams and an incredible free kick strike from defender Grace Bahr.
Long Island Rough Riders
Last Week: 6
v. AC Connecticut
June 21 / 7:00 p.m. ET
Long Island lost a tough matchup against rival Morris Elite SC, but the Rough Riders bounced back quickly against Cedar Stars. Team of the Month forward Lia Howard added to her goal tally, having scored 10 goals so far.
