TAMPA, Fla. - After a thrilling and dramatic conclusion to the regular season, the 2023 USL W League Playoff field is officially set.  Going into postseason play six teams are undefeated and five teams are making their second consecutive trip to the postseason, including the 2022 USL W League Finalists Minnesota Aurora FC.

The Conference Semifinals will be hosted at four host sites across the country - Mechanicsburg, PA., Cary, NC., Flint, MI., and Northern CA. All playoff matches will be live streamed. 

16 teams have qualified for the USL W League Playoffs and will now face off in a single-elimination bracket.

A dramatic finish to the regular season

The 2023 USL W League playoff picture was unclear until the final match of the regular season as dark horse Tennessee SC, who opened the season losing back-to-back matches, went on a hot streak tallying seven unbeaten matches. Tennessee's incredible run catapulted the club into first place in the division and their win over Southern Soccer Academy Sunday night secured their spot in the playoffs. 

The Western Conference also had a photo finish as Oakland Soul had to beat the undefeated SF Glens to secure a place in the playoffs and did just that, recording a 3-1 victory. Also clinching a playoff berth was Cal Storm, who's gritty 2-0 win over the Stockton Cargo secured their spot in the playoffs. 

The Eastern Conference Semifinal teams were nearly set with Eagle FC, Morris Elite SC and Long Island Rough Riders all clinching before the weekend. Christos FC was the last team to join the party as a wild card bid after beating Virginia Marauders FC 3-1.

The only conference that was set prior to the final weekend of the regular season was the Central Conference, where Flint City AFC was the first team this season to clinch a playoff berth. Joining the hosts are Minnesota Aurora FC, Chicago City SC and Indy Eleven.
