EASTERN CONFERENCE:

Morris Elite SC vs Long Island Rough Riders

Morris Elite’s incredible come-from-behind win after an hour and a half rain delay shocked Long Island.

This Metropolitan matchup featured two rivals who have battled many times over the last two season and that was apparent in their conference semifinal. Morris Elite’s Claire Manning struck first but Long Island answered three minutes later, equalizing off a nicely placed corner kick.

After a takeaway in the middle of the field which lead to an easy one-on-one with the goalkeeper, Long Island’s Jessica Garziano took back the lead for the NY-based club. That 2-1 scoreline would hold through halftime and then through an hour and a half long weather delay.

Coming out of the delay, Morris Elite looked sharp, leading to an incredible upper 90 screamer by Manning, who tallied her second of the match. Equal at 2-2 with ten minutes to go, both teams were looking for magic and Morris Elite found it in the 90 minute with a great goal individual effort goal by Riley Cross, which would prove to be the deciding goal.

Scoring Summary:
MOR: Manning 10’
LI: Gordon 13’
LI: Garziano 35’
MOR: Manning 75’
MOR: Cross 90’

Eagle FC vs Christos FC

Eagle FC secured the 2-1 victory over Christos FC in an exciting box-to-box matchup.

There was no shortage of attack from both sides in the initial 20 minutes. Eagle took the lead off a great goal by standout midfielder Nia Christopher who was a commanding presence all match for Eagle.

Christos didn’t go away however after an incredible effort from the team’s leading scorer Baylee Desmit equalized in the 39 minute.

Right before halftime, Eagle pushed up in the attacking third and Butlion sent in a beautiful cross and Meg Tate was able to finish a textbook header, giving Eagle the advantage going into the locker room.

The second half yielded no goals even after valiant efforts from both sides and Tate’s 45+1 minute goal was the deciding factor.

Scoring Summary:
EAG: Christopher 24’
CHR: Desmit 39’
EAG: Tate 45+1’

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

SF Glens vs Oakland Soul SC

SF Glens picked up the early lead and never looked back in a 5-1 victory over divisional rival Oakland Soul. Nadia Gomes recorded the hattrick in the commanding win.

Nadia Gomes picked up right where she left off in the regular season, giving the Glens the lead in just the fourth minute of the match. Then five minutes later Lageyre doubled the lead. Throughout the entire first half SF Glens dominated possession and thwarted any offensive momentum Oakland tried to create.

The Glens found themselves up 5-0 coming into the final ten minutes of play. Oakland managed to breakthrough in the 87 minute with a goal from Jordan Geise. However, despite Oaklands strong effort in the second half, SF Glens proved to be too much to handle, winning the match 5-1.

Scoring Summary:
SF: Gomes 4’
SF: Lageyre 9’
SF: Gomes 45’
SF: Piper 47’
SF: Gomes 80’
OAK: Geis 87’

Cal Storm vs Oly Town FC

This matchup was the most even of the night with back-and-forth chances all night. Cal Storm's lone goal was enough to put them through to the conference final.

The first half of the match was an even matchup with both teams unable to find the back of the net. Both Cal Storm and Oly Town managed to get a couple promising shots off but the defense really told the story of the first half.

Both teams came out of the break with a more attacking mindset, which led to Cal Storm breaking the deadlock in the 63 minute. Defender Katie Smith got her head on the end of a ball and placed it over the top of the keeper, securing the first goal of the match.

Oly Town had a few promising chances throughout the second half including a free kick from right outside the box that flew over the crossbar.

Smith's header would stand to be the deciding goal despite multiple promising chances from Oly Town in the final minutes.

Scoring Summary:
CAL:
Smith 63'
