The 2024 W League season is getting even more exciting as clubs continue to kick off their campaigns. Over 40 clubs took the field for the first time this season, while others took home their second and third wins.
Here are some of the biggest storylines and performances to come out of the W League in Week 3:
The 2023 W League Champions Indy Eleven began its quest for another title last week against Racing Louisville. A goal from Amelia White in the seventh minute gave Indy an early lead, and two second half goals helped the team earn a 3-1 win in its opening match of the season.

If you tuned in late to the match between NC Courage U23 and South Georgia Tormenta, you probably missed both goals that resulted in the 1-1 draw. Kayleigh Herr put the Courage up in the second minute of the match after converting a header off a corner. Tormenta responded one minute later when a cross made it past three defenders to the feet of Courtney Chochol for an easy finish. The rest of the match was competitive but remained scoreless, and both sides went home with one point.
Lexington SC has opened up its season with two 4-0 wins over St. Charles FC, and half of its goals came from Katelyn Fishnick. The striker from the University of Kentucky scored the first two goals in both matches to help put Lexington at the top of the Valley Division.
Anyone else feeling a bit of déjà vu?

Florida Elite Soccer Academy has started the season on a hot streak by winning its first three matches in a row. The start is even more impressive considering all matches have been on the road and goalkeeper Lexi Gonzalez recorded clean sheets in each of them; Florida Elite has outscored its opponents 20-0.
More than 20 new clubs joined the W League this season, and some are already making strong impressions. Flatirons FC have set the bar in the new Mountain Division after defeating CISA twice last week, River Light FC started its season with an 8-0 win on Sunday, and AHFC Royals jumped to the top of the standings after beating Lonestar SC 2-1.
