TAMPA, Fla. - The United Soccer League announced today the winners of the postseason organizational awards for the 2024 W League season.

The winners of the awards were determined by the league office, factoring in competitive achievement and operational excellence throughout the summer season.

Organization of the Year: Detroit City FC

Detroit City FC was named 2024 Organization of the Year after its historic season. The club finished the regular season undefeated with a record of 10-0-2, topping the Great Lakes Division and advancing to the playoffs for the first time since joining the league in 2022.

DCFC hosted all three of its postseason matches, including the National Semifinal against Colorado Storm. Le Rouge won their first trophy this summer after defeating the reigning champion Indy Eleven 3-1 to win the Central Conference Final. Goalkeeper Gabrielle Schriver led the way, earning the Golden Glove award after recording eight shutouts and a 0.294 goals-against average in the regular season.

New Organization of the Year: Richmond Ivy SC

Richmond Ivy SC was named 2024 New Organization of the Year, excelling both on and off the pitch in its inaugural season. The club started the season winning the fan-voted Best New Crest contest among 22 new clubs.

Richmond finished fourth in the tightly contested Mid-Atlantic Division. City Stadium saw nearly 30,000 fans over the course of the Ivy’s season, including a sold-out home opener where 6,000 fans witnessed the team earn its first-ever win.

Executive of the Year: Susan Green, AHFC Royals

AHFC Royals’ Susan Green was named 2024 Executive of the Year for her unwavering support in the team and its players during its inaugural W League season.

The Royals appeared in the Conference Semifinals after finishing atop the new Lone Star Division with an impressive 10-0-0 record. AHFC Royals players were highlighted for making US Youth National team appearances, going on to play professionally in the USL Super League and winning W League Divisional Player awards thanks to the dedication and efforts of Green.

“I am honored to receive this award but could not have done it alone,” said Green. “Others from our AHFC Royals organization and the USL W League contributed to my success.”
