Orem, Ut. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Utah United will join the USL W League for the 2025 season. The club joined the USL Academy and USL League Two earlier this year.

“We are incredibly proud of this announcement,” said Mark Davis, Owner and Technical Director. “We believe that the USL W League team at Utah United will be a huge opportunity to advance the women’s game. We are excited about gathering the best players locally, regionally and nationally to create the best possible environment for development.”

Utah United was established in 2022 with a mission to inspire, empower and unite through the game of soccer. The club is committed to fostering a passion for soccer at all levels while developing not only skilled athletes but strong leaders. Utah United aims to build a community where players, coaches and fans come together to achieve excellence, cultivate sportsmanship and celebrate diversity.

“As we join the USL W League, we are excited to give women soccer players another opportunity to showcase their talents and continue to compete at the highest level possible throughout the summer,” said Matt Walbruch, Utah United Leadership.

“We are really excited to join the USL W League and showcase the talent that we have in Utah women’s soccer,” follows Jerry Pennock, Utah United Leadership. “We want to make a team that competes to win a national championship.”

“Utah United is excited to introduce a new team to the W League right here in our community!” said Vess Pearson, Utah United Leadership. “This area is celebrated for its amazing women's soccer talent, and we're eager to give local players a fantastic platform to showcase their skills. With standout talents from BYU, UVU, and other local universities, we're ready to compete at a high level right from day one!”

Utah United becomes the first USL W League team in the state. The club will play its home matches at Clyde Field at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah as a member of the Mountain Division.

“We’re very excited to have Utah United expand into the W League,” said Joel Nash, SVP of Youth and Pre-Professional Properties. “The club has shown great commitment to developing the young talent in Utah, and now with a W League team, it will provide the opportunity for female athletes to compete at a high level.”
