Fourteen current USL W League players have been called up to a first-of-its-kind Women’s College Talent ID Camp, U.S. Soccer announced on Monday. The camp will take place from June 18-22 in Atlanta, GA, as part of the growing U.S. Youth National Teams’ scouting strategy with the objective of increasing programming opportunities for college-specific players with high potential and therefore expanding the U.S. Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 Women’s National Team player pools.
The camp will also incorporate a women’s goalkeeper-specific segment with the aim of increasing the pool of goalkeepers who are exposed to a National Team experience. Nearly half of the goalkeepers in the camp currently play in the W League, including last year’s finalist Colorado Storm’s Adelyn Todd, who was named in the 2024 USL W League Team of the Year – Second Team.
AHFC Royals’ Zoe Main was also one of the W League players called up to the camp. Main was the 2024 Lone Star Divisional Player of the Year and was named in the 2024 USL W League Team of the Year – First Team.
