An action-packed final weekend

Heading into the last weekend of the regular season, only nine of the playoff spots were set. The Southern Conference was the first to have all four teams clinch after TLH Reckoning earned the wild card berth with a 1-0 win against Fort Lauderdale United and Lonestar SC won the Lone Star Division after defeating AHFC Royals 3-0.

The Western Conference also had two teams clinch postseason berths last weekend. A scoreless draw was enough for FC Olympia to earn its third-consecutive Northwest Division title, meanwhile Santa Clarita Blue Heat FC became the first SoCal Division winners after the expansion team earned a 4-2 victory against SoCal Dutch Lions.

In a closely contested Central Conference, Pittsburgh Riveters SC claimed the Great Forest title after a stoppage-time goal secured a 2-1 win over Steel City FC. Reigning conference champions Detroit City FC claimed the final spot after winning 3-1 on Saturday against Kalamazoo FC and with then-division leader AFC Ann Arbor dropping points on Sunday.

The Eastern Conference was the most set before the weekend, with NC Courage U23, Eagle FC and Annapolis Blues FC all winning their divisions. The Long Island Rough Riders clinched the final playoff spot on Sunday with a decisive 5-0 win against Manhattan SC.
